Cutting the Cord
I am sure you have heard others say they have cut the cord in order to get away from the rising cost of Cable TV. But many just switch to internet based tv through streaming. They pick a provider (ex. HULU, Netflix, Disney, Peacock, YouTube, etc.) But is this really cutting the cord? Yes and no. If you install an antenna you can watch local news, track weather, watch network tv .. all for free after the cost of the antenna. You will get ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, and FOX. You will more than likely have subchannels of each of the main networks. To find out what is available where you live, download the Antenna Point app onto your cell phone or tablet. This APP will not only show you the channels you can get but will show you the direction the signals are coming from. This is helpful to determine whether an antenna is right for you.
You do not need the Internet to watch TV with an antenna.
If you want streaming content from services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Hulu, you will need an Internet connection.
